Halfway through the five-year initiative, STEM Next's Million Girls Moonshot reached 1.4 million girls and 170,000 educators to inspire and encourage more young women to pursue a career in STEM. Through support from partners like Intel Corporation, the Moonshot is rallying girls across the country to explore, create, and discover what each scientific field has to offer through after-school programs and local networks within their community. We go on a field trip to the Adler Planetarium in Chicago to meet the first Mexican-born woman to travel to space, Dr. Katya Echazarreta.
