Also known as Mexican wrestling, Lucha Libre is at once a culture, sport, performance art and a way of life. And for visitors to Mexico City, it’s an unmissable, unforgettable experience. For Skadi, it’s also her job—as a professional luchadora (female wrestler), she wears her mask full time. Join her as she takes us on a tour of her beloved home town, Mexico City, and prepares for fight night. In our film, she shows us her most meaningful sights of the city: from the layered history of Plaza de Las Tres Culturas, to Arena Mexico, one of the city’s two atmospheric stadiums where you can see her and her rivals in battle; as well as Coyoacán Market and its street food; Zocalo Square which dates back to the Aztec era; and the beautiful neighborhoods of Roma and La Condesa.
